Digital retinal photography documents the health of the eye and can help in the early management, detection, and monitoring of certain eye conditions.

The high-powered lenses of the camera allow the optometrist to take detailed pictures of the inside of the eye, which is used for comparison and documentation.

Digital retinal photography can help diagnose:

Hypertensive retinopathy
Glaucoma
Macular degeneration
Retinal detachment
Optic nerve disease

This service is called digital retinal photography.

Separately this costs £15 but its included in our comprehensive eye test.
